What is the Christian faith and life?

Oftentimes when people think of Christianity, they think of rigidness, discipline, legalism, or traditions, etc. None of these words brings a smile! Rather, these killjoys are quite miserable and borderline paganistic. However, when God came and first proclaimed the Kingdom of God, He didn't start with a set of rules. He began with simple yet ecstatic joyful news, a series of blessings! So, the Christian life is first and foremost, the Beatitudes. This word, blessed, though archaic, is our deepest longing. We all want to be truly happy, be fortunate, or be congratulated. And the Christian life is just that, not being miserable, but finding joy in all circumstances. Throughout the Scripture, the Beatitudes are the Beautiful Attitudes of God’s people living under God’s benevolent kingship made manifest in Jesus! Christ alone with us. If we want to see a change in our society, we should have a greater display of the blessed life (the Beatitudes) in the true religion (10 Commandments).
