Sermon from the Book of Daniel

The True King At Work - Daniel 1-5

Pastor Jackson Lin brought us the Word from the Book of Daniel.

What world, especially what sort of nation, do we live in? Do we live in a Christian or a post-Christian nation? Do we live in an era of peace or confusion? Wherever you stand, we cannot deny that we still live in a world where men act and rule like beasts. This world can't be our home. In the book of Daniel, a few young men, though dragged into exile and raised by depraved cultures and ruthless kings, never lose their identity and hope. They were, in every appearance, Babylonians, but in every way, citizens of God! As we are raised and surrounded by this world, how do we keep such a faithful resolve in such a fateful time? Like Daniel, we need to experience and see the true King, the Lord who truly reigns. Because the Lord is the living and sovereign King, we can be set apart while serving this fallen world, and we can trust while the world falls apart. Let us come and witness the true King at work through the words of Daniel.
